Ingredients
1 cup salted butter (always use butter!!)
1/2 Cup granulated sugar
3/4 Cup Packed Yellow/Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla (I use 2)
2 Eggs (slightly Beaten)
2/1/2 cups of flour (I use all purpose)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon warm water
1/2 teaspoon salt (I reduced this as I prefer salted butter because I always have it!)
One Bag or 2 cups of semi sweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Gather all ingredients
In a large bowl combine butter and sugar. use a hand mixer or a stand mixer to cream until smooth
Add in vanilla and slightly beaten eggs-I don’t bother doing this one at a time
Combine the one teaspoon of baking soda with the warm water until dissolved and then add to the butter mixture
In a small bowl add the flour and salt together and mix
Add the flour mixture one third at a time and mix until combined
Stir in chocolate
Let dough sit in fridge covered for 30 minutes
Roll dough into balls approximately 1.5 inches in diameter, place on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes
